Office Application Developer

Collabware is looking for a junior/intermediate Office Application Developer to join our product development team in Vancouver, BC. You will be responsible for developing new product features, interacting with product designers, architects and senior management. The team will expect you to contribute innovative new ideas that will elevate our products to new levels.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to develop new product features, but you'll also be expected to fulfill these additional responsibilities:

• Contribute new product and/or feature ideas
• Work closely with the rest of the product team to ensure that the best possible product is created
• Keep up with industry trends and best practices to ensure we are constantly innovating
• Troubleshoot support issues and provide quick resolution to technical problems
• Have fun at all times and help ensure that our environment is rewarding for everyone

Experience

We expect that you have at least a couple years of solid development experience, ideally with the SharePoint or Office platforms. The list below outlines the must-haves for you to be considered for the position:

• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft .NET framework including C#, ASP.NET, Ajax, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, and LINQ
• 2+ years of experience creating Office client extensions using C# or VB.NET
• Working knowledge of relational database design and development
• Working with multi-disciplinary development teams
• Working with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server 2010
• Excellent ability to effectively and tactfully communicate in English orally and in writing with  team members and customers

Additional Qualifications

The list below outlines additional experience which will be taken into consideration:

• SharePoint 2010 development experience of content types, web parts, page layo uts, master pages and their deployments
• Any consulting experience is a plus
